Monty’s Bar & Kitchen – Terms & Conditions
Thank you for booking with Monty’s Bar & Kitchen at Metropolitan Bushey. We both need a contract so that your rights and our rights are protected. We have tried to make these as brief and clear as possible.
The Booking Contract
- Your contract is with Metropolitan Police Bushey Sports Club Limited, not with Zonal Reservations, who provide the booking technology.
- By using the booking service, you accept these terms and confirm you have the legal capacity to make a booking.
- You must provide accurate information.
- You agree to pay for all food and drink ordered unless a full or partial prepayment has been made.
- The contract becomes binding once you receive a confirmation email.
- You may cancel via the cancellation link, by calling 01923 243947, or emailing clubhouse@metropolitanbushey.co.uk.
- If card details are required to secure your booking, we may charge fees as outlined in the Deposits, Prepayments & Card Capture section.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late without notifying us, your table may be released.
- Standard table allocation is 2 hours, though you may stay longer during quieter periods.
- We reserve the right to cancel your booking if we are unable to provide the service.
Deposits, Prepayments & Card Capture
If card details are requested, we reserve the right to charge the card for the following:
- No-show fee if you fail to attend your booking.
- Partial no-show fee if fewer guests attend than originally booked.
- Deposits or prepayments are non-refundable and deducted from your final bill.
- Groups of 10+ guests must pay a deposit and may be required to pre-order.
- Afternoon Tea bookings require full payment at least 48 hours in advance.
- Special events (e.g., Mother’s Day, Easter Sunday, Christmas) may require deposits or prepayment.
Booking Confirmation
- All bookings remain provisional until confirmed by email.
- When booking via Zonal or our website, you must check all details before clicking “Book a Table” and confirm you accept these terms.
Allergies & Intolerances
- Our kitchen handles nuts, gluten, and other allergens.
- Please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements when booking or before ordering.
- Information provided by email, phone, or online is not considered received unless acknowledged by our team.
Guest Numbers
- Monty’s Bar & Kitchen can seat groups of up to 21 guests together.
- Larger groups may be accommodated — please contact us to discuss arrangements.
Cancellations
Same-day cancellations may result in deposits or prepayments being retained, or full charges applied based on the expected number of guests.
Restaurant Rules
- No outside food or drink is permitted.
- Management may request ID and refuse alcohol service.
- Children must always be supervised; management accepts no liability for accidents involving unattended children.
- Highchairs are subject to availability unless confirmed at booking.
- Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. Dogs must not bark, cause disruption, sit on furniture, or eat/drink from our tableware.
Under-18 Rules (Families & Young Guests)
Under-18s are welcome in Monty’s Bar & Kitchen until 9pm, when accompanied by an adult.
Families and groups with under-18s are asked to sit at tables 12 to 24. Tables within the bar area are reserved for adults only.
Under-18s cannot order at the bar. A supervising adult must place all food and drink orders (this is a legal requirement).
Our pool table is for adults and reserved for over-18s only. Our children’s play area is available for supervised play and is a great place to let off some steam.
A dedicated goal area marked with red tape is available for casual kickabouts. For matches or exclusive use of a goal, please speak to our team about booking a pitch.
Our grounds and pitches are reserved exclusively for private bookings and sports hire customers. Children may only use these areas if part of a booked session.
Personal Belongings
Please keep your belongings with you at all times. We cannot accept responsibility for lost or stolen items.
Photography & Filming
Events may be photographed or filmed for promotional use. By attending, you agree you may appear in this content.
Smoking & Vaping
Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated outdoor areas. Please follow staff guidance.
Promotions & Offers
- Promotions may be altered or withdrawn without notice.
- Rates may change at any time and may be restricted during peak periods.
- Promotional prices are subject to availability and may apply only on selected dates.
Privacy
- You will receive booking confirmation emails.
- If you opt in to marketing, we may send information about events, offers and services; you may opt out at any time.
- Under GDPR, Metropolitan Police Bushey Sports Club Limited is the Data Controller and Zonal is the Data Processor.
CCTV & Security
CCTV operates throughout the venue for safety and security. Footage may be used for incident investigation and crime prevention.
Changes
- We aim to keep all website information accurate, but details may change without notice.
- Website content is not legally binding and should not be relied upon as a representation of fact.
How the Contract Is Formed
- After booking, you will receive an automated confirmation email.
- We will contact you if there are any issues with your booking.
Liability
- Our booking partners strive for high security, but internet transmission is not 100% secure.
- Neither we nor our partners accept liability for losses, viruses, data issues, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
- We aim to keep data accurate but accept no responsibility for losses arising from inaccuracies.
Rights & Jurisdiction
- We may update or amend these terms and conditions at any time.
- The version published on our website at the time of your booking will apply to your purchase.
- It is your responsibility to review the current terms before attending an event.
- Metropolitan Bushey reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any guest who does not follow venue rules, behaves in a way that affects the safety or enjoyment of others, or breaches these terms.
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes will be handled under this jurisdiction.
